Pastor Anderson T. Graves II, The Board of Christian Education and Formation and the Bailey Tabernacle Church Family is celebrating a devoted family member. Congratulations to Barbara Miller Jernigan on her new professional endeavors in South Alabama. We pray that God’s grace and blessings will be with Sister Barbara in all of her pursuits. She will be dearly missed.
Dr. W. C. Jones Endowed Scholarship Presentation * September 29, 2022
The STEWARDESSES of Bailey Tabernacle CME Church presented a $2,100.00 check to the Dr. W. C. Jones Endowed Scholarship at Stillman College. This is one of the many outreach projects the Stewardesses are involved in throughout the year. Following Dr. Jones’s death, this Scholarship was established by Dr. Trudier Harris, a Stillman College Alumna where Dr. Jones was Dean of Students for 25 years, and a member of Bailey Tabernacle CME Church where he pastored for 49 years. Dr. Jones did much for the Tuscaloosa community, education, and the world. Many members of Bailey Tabernacle CME Church, the Tuscaloosa community, and people around the country who knew him, joined Dr. Harris in endowing the scholarship. The first partial scholarship from the Endowed Scholarship was awarded to a Stillman College student on September 13, 2016. This is a small way to keep his legacy in our memories.
