ADOPT- A- SCHOOL PROGRAM
Assists local schools as directed by the principal.
AWANA
(Derived from the first letter of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.) This is a non-denominational ministry that helps churches worldwide raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ.
BERT: BAILEY TABERNACLE EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM
Provide assistance to disaster areas in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and Louisiana. Major areas of concentration: food and medical.
BOOKS TO PRISON MINISTRY
Provide prisoners all over the U.S. A. approved books with no charge.
BOYS AND MEN
To develop activities and programs unique for men and boys; to create a special fellowship to build good self-esteem and provide good role models. The pooling of talent and resources for Christian mentoring is encouraged.
BULLETIN BOARD
To develop a theme and provide creativity in layout of displays; focuses on Biblical themes and special occasions.
BUS
Provide transportation to and from church services, activities and functions; an opportunity to evangelize to family members who are non-church members.
CHESS
To provide students an opportunity to enhance their creativity, develop and expand critical thinking skills and boost their memory while enhancing their problem-solving capabilities.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH
Provides a worship experience designed for a specific age level; uses a wide-variety of teaching techniques, interactive projects and multimedia activities.
COLLEGE STUDENTS
This ministry embraces college students and ministers to their needs and interests while they are absent from their home churches.
DANCE
To develop good Christian character through creative expression with a biblical base; to create a form of worship that praises the Lord with Christian dance.
DRUG SUPPORT FOR WOMEN/MEN
Provide support to persons who are or were addicted to drugs or alcohol. Provide preventive programs open to the public.
ENLIGHTENED MALES PROGRAM
This ministry is a twelve month program for males twelve to seventeen years old. Developing into manhood is the focus, covering a variety of subjects. A Rite of Passage Ritual is the culminating activity.
EVANGELISM
This group seeks to be kingdom builders for the Lord through campaign initiatives and training sessions; offers guidance and encouragement while sharing the word of God.
FAMILY
Provides leadership in meeting the special needs of families; provides programs and activities relevant to the family.
FLOWER GUILD
Provides live flowers in the Church every Sunday.
FOOD PANTRY
Provide food to persons in need and witness to persons who have not received Christ as their personal Savior.
GREETERS
Persons who set the tone for the worship experience with a caring disposition and a smile.
HOBBIES
Fellowship based on a common interest: example, quilting, arts and crafts. This group make pillows for women who had breast cancer surgery.
HOST & HOSTESS
Provide a friendly atmosphere and render service at all church functions.
HUMAN & SOCIAL CONCERNS
Designed to assess problem areas and provide solutions based on Christian teachings.
INNOVATORS
Focus on church members who own businesses; to encourage members to support these Businesses and all black-owned businesses.
JAIL/PRISON
This group visits, encourages and witnesses.
LAY COUNCIL
This body should provide leadership that supports the minister and the total church Programs; acts as a support group.
LAY VISITATION
To provide leadership in visiting the sick; may involve carrying audio/video tapes to the sick and shut-ins.
MEDIA
This ministry brings the church services to the sick and shut-in and further promotes the gospel of Jesus Christ.
MEDICAL AUXILIARY
Provides health information monthly to the congregation. Holds Health Fairs and administers first aid in emergencies.
MUSIC
Ministry of praise and worship using musical instruments and singing songs of Zion.
NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
Provide leadership, friendship and guidance for new church members; organizing Fellowship activities to make new members feel welcome.
NEWSLETTER
Designed to keep the members informed about all church related activities; participation Involves pictures and preparation of articles highlighting church organizations and functions.
PRAYER PARTNERS
To disciple and encourage members to pray for the pastor, church and each other daily; Should meet every Sunday in small groups to pray for the Sunday church services.
PRISON RE-ENTRY
Assists previously incarcerated citizens and individuals under Criminal Justice supervision. Support Lovelady Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
SECURITY
Make sure the building is safe inside and outside.
SHAASM – STEWARDESSES HELPING AND AIDING SENIOR MEMBERS
This ministry is designed for senior members of the church.
WELLNESS PROGRAM
This ministry is designed for persons fifty-five and older. It provides age appropriate exercises and healthy eating tips.
YOUNG ADULT FELLOWSHIP
For persons 18-36; provides opportunities for the development of special programs, bible study, service and fellowship in the Lord.
